GRANDMASTER HELIO GRACIE PASSES AWAY TODAY

I have just had the sad news that the founder of Gracie jiu jitsu Helio Gracie has died this morning aged 95.

I was both privileged and fortunate to have met him , it is because of Gracie jiu jitsu that i have become a better person .

My condolences go out to the Gracie Family God Bless .

BLOODLINE FIGHT TEAM PREPARE FOR 2009

Bloodline fight team back in training for 2009.

After 2 weeks off over the festive season training has started again at bloodline fight team with Costa Doru being the first fighter out of the bloodline camp to fight this year.

Watch out for other Bloodline fighters appearing on upcomming shows throughout the next few months.

EDDIE KONE TO VISIT ABSOLUTO BJJ ROMANIA.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt Eddie Kone  will be visiting Absoluto Bjj in Romania on Febuary 6th 2009 for a weekend of training, anyone wishing to attend is welcome.

AUGUST 14 2009 BJJ CAMP BRAZIL.

This summer EK BJJ and Absoluto BJJ will be attending a 7 day summer camp specifically for our association only.

it will be held in Buzios and hosted by Black Belt world champion "Felipe Costa" At the Brazilian Black Belt BJJ House.

Buzious has 23 beautiful beaches with crystal clear water.

prices will include collection from the airport , food and accommodation and return drop off to the airport.

the house has in addition to 2 large matted area,s , 7 suites, a swimming pool, and a sauna.

It is also located steps away from the geriba beach, you can finish training and take 10 steps to the beach.

Eddie Kone Academy Expands into Essex

 Eddie Kone BJJ blue belt, Camilla Hanson  has begun teaching Brazilian jiu jitsu at the Essex University.

Class times are: 

Tuesdays 8PM TILL  10pm in the sports centre (activity hall).

Fridays 5pm till 7 pm sports centre (sports hall)

Camilla Hanson is the:  female 69kg seni 2008 gold medal winner, and

 ADCC (EC) DK TRIAL 60 KG SILVER MEDAL WINNER.

Camilla is a very technical fighter and everyone at EK BJJ are proud of Camilla.

Classes are open to everyone irrespective if you study at the university or not.

2009 TIME DOES FLY.....

so the start of a new year , and what a nice way to start off 2009.

I returned to the gym to find the heavy weight guys that had been away for a while had returned and are back to start training again.

Eddie Kone no longer with RGDA

I had a great five years with the RGDA association, and have learned a lot during my time spent with them. i was able to contribute to helping the RGDA grow within Europe, which i thoroughly enjoyed.

On December the 14 2008 a decision was made that i should leave the association.

with that decision made i have now become an independent academy with no business links to the RGDA.

I would like to thank the RGDA for the past years and i wish them and there team all the best for any future endeavors and i hope we remain Friends.

EDDIE RETURNS FROM AN AWESOME TRIP...

Eddie kone returned from his visit to Absoluto Romania where he spent four days training, Teaching and hanging out with with the guys.

Whilst there some students were promoted to the rank of Blue Belt after being white belts for 3 years.

Over the past few months Absoluto has done really well in competitions winning many medals, i am proud to have known you when you started to where you are now.

Well done guys and hope to see you all very soon, it is always my pleasure to come and exchange knowledge with you guys thank you for inviting and having me over..

Eddie Kone is back on the road visiting Absoluto, And continuing to spread Gracie Jiu Jitsu further into Europe.

After this Eddie will be heading out to canada for Paul Semtex Daley,s upcoming fight.

Bloodline have been on a winning streak , the past ten fights the team have lost only once.

Next fighter from Bloodline to fight will be sean folan in the light weight division, sean record is 4.0.0.

Eddie Kone and Paul Marut are proud of the team,s effort over the past year and hope for more of the same in 2009.

DESTROYS HIS OPPONENT WHO OUT WEIGHED HIM BY 9 KG IN ROUND ONE .

PETRU TOOK HIS OPPONENT DOWN DURING A STAND UP EXCHANGE AND GROUND AND POUNDED HIM UNTIL HE TURNED HIS BACK, THE PETRU SUBMITTED HIS OPPONET WITH A REAR NAKED CHOKE IN 1 MIN 28 SECONDS OF THE FIRST ROUND....

Romanian fighter Petru has taken a fight on 2 days notice.

He will be making his  professional mma debut inside a cage at CAGE BRAWL everyone at RGDA wish him well and we know he will be prepared for the fight......

BLOODLINE FIGHT TEAM HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION.

Saturday 8Th November 2008 Bloodline fight team,s heavyweight fighter Piotor DOKTOR kushmish entered the cage at (SURVIVAL FC) to fight Thai boxer and mma fight Nicky Kruse from germany.

Kruse is a veteran of Thai boxing fights and has had a few mma fights.

The fight starts and DOKTOR throws a combination sending Kruse to the canvas out cold in 8 seconds.

Doktor winning the fight and becoming the SURVIVAL FC heavy weight champion....
