LUKE WILL BE FACING A VERY GAME OPPONENT WHO HAS A RECORD OF 2.1.1.

LUKE HAS BEEN TRAINING HARD AND HAS JUST COMPLETED THE 6 WEEK GRUELING TRAINING CAMP, THANKS TO THE WHOLE TEAM AND SPARING PARTNERS WHO HELPED LUKE PREPARE FOR THE FIGHT.

BLOODLINE FIGHTER VICTORIOUS AT ULTIMATE CHALLENGE.

SATURDAY MAY 9TH THERE IS A HYPE AROUND A FIGHT WHICH WAS TO TAKE PLACE AT THE TROXY LONDON BETWEEN UFC TUF COMPETITOR WESLEY (THE IMMORTAL) MURCH AND BRAD (NO JOKE) WHEELER.

THE FIGHT WAS MEANT TO BE A WARM UP FIGHT FOR MURCH AS HE RETURNED TO THE OCTAGON AFTER A SHORT LAY OFF AND BLOODLINE FIGHTER BRAD WHEELER WAS SUPPOSED TO BE AN EASY FIGHT FOR MURCH WHO MANY SPECULATED THAT WHEELER WOULD NOT LAST THE FIRST ROUND.

SO THE FIGHT STARTS AND BOTH FIGHTERS COME OUT AND AFTER A QUICK EXCHANGE MURCH TAKES WHEELER DOWN AND ESTABLISHES MOUNT POSITION , HE BEGINS TO GROUND AND POUND AND WHEELER CONTINUES TO TRY ESCAPE WITH LITTLE SUCCESS , IN A DRAMATIC CHANGE OF EVENTS WHEELER USES HIS LEGS TO OVER HOOK  MURCH AND ESCAPE OUT THE BACKDOOR SPINNING AROUND AND SECURING A TRIANGLE CHOKE FORCING MURCH TO TAP IN ROUND ONE...............

NEW MIXED MARTIAL ARTS GYM OPENS IN NORTH LONDON

 

The Ultimate Fitness Centre is a new and exciting mixed martial arts gym offering the best and latest training methods in mixed martial arts. Sponsored by Rockstar Energy Drinks, it caters for both beginners and the advanced; men, women and all ages are welcome.

 

It will enjoy a special media opening on Thursday, 23rd April, 1-3pm.  The Ultimate Fitness Centre is the brainchild of business man and MMA fan James O'Keefe, and Eddie Kone, Europe's only Gracie jiu jitsu black belt under Royler Gracie. 

 

Mixed martial arts is the fastest growing sport in the world today, promoting an active, healthier lifestyle whilst encouraging discipline through training and learning new skills. The Ultimate Fitness Centre seeks to encourage harmony and to develop strong links with the north London community, particularly young people in the area and as such is perfectly positioned in the heart of Tottenham. Both Eddie and James believe passionately in providing a place where young people can go and channel their energies and learn a new and exciting discipline.

Classes will include Gracie jiu-jitsu, Thai-boxing, shoot boxing, kettlebells and much more to be added. It will also feature fitness and nutrition consultant to offer advice and programme’s to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

 

Those using the gym will have the option of full membership or a pay-as-you-go-system. In addition, there will be special discounted rates for under16's and students

BRAD, HAS JUST COME OFF OF A POINTS LOSS TO UNDEFEATED FIGHTER MARK ADAMS (13-0).

BRAD IS CONSIDRED THE UNDERDOG IN THIS UPCOMMING FIGHT BUT WILL BE WELL PREPARED AS ALWAYS TO PUT ON A GREAT FIGHT FOR THE CROWDS.

ULTIMATE CHALLENGE / BLOODLINE FIGHT TEAM RESULTS

Saturday 28Th march 2009 Bloodline Fight Team fighters both entered into the feather weight tournament.

John (psycho) Kelly & Brad (young Gun) Wheeler both fought in the octagon at ultimate challenge.

First up was John Kelly who after some heavy stand up exchanges defended the take down attempts of Max henchy to win by Rear naked choke at 2 mins of the first round.

Brad Wheeler fought Mark Adams who was 13.0.1 , the fight went the full distance with neither fighter being able to impose his game on the other both were escaping submission attempts and scoring with punches and take downs, was easily one of the best fights of the night.

Brad lost due to split decision.

John Kelly advances to the semi finals.

Brad wheeler put on such an amazing fight he has been asked to return to ultimate challenge on may 9th, opponent yet to be confirmed.

We would like to thank the 60 plus supporters who came down and supported the team great efffort , fighters you did us proud.

NEW PROMOTIONS AT EKBJJ UK

Friday 20th march 2009 was a great day at EK BJJ UK Academy .

Head Instructor Eddie Kone promoted 

MMA Fighter Costa (crazy) Doru & Adam Kam to the rank of purple belt, both of the guys have been Loyal long term students of Eddie Kone and have trained with him for many years. 

Also promoted to the rank of blue belt was man mountain Big K and wrestling coach Luke Bedford. 

Camilla Hanson probly one the best female blue belts and winner of 2 gold medals last year and 1 gold medal this year was given 3 stripes on her blue belt .

Eddie Kone wishes to congratulate all who were awarded stripes and those who were promoted in rank.

With the much anticipated new academy due to open in four weeks this weekend also  see,s Bloodline fight team go to war at ultimate challenge in london.

Both Brad Wheeler & John Kelly put there skill on the line in the ultimate proving ground, Everyone at EK BJJ wish you a safe and victorious fight.......... hope everyone will be down to support.

WORLD CLASS FILM DIRECTORS JOIN EKBJJ

The shammasian Brothers, Paul and Ludwick are two extraordinary individuals, apart form being amazing creative film directors the guys are both genuine,honest and amazing individuals.

There talent as directors has led them to make some of the best short film,s the uk has ever seen including the amazing Romans 12:20, which won the brothers the best short film award in Hollywood in the ARPA 11th annual film awards in 2008.

Apart from knowing the brothers  as friends for the past 3 years i am even more privileged to have them as part of my extended family at the EK BJJ academy in the UK where they continue to learn Gracie jiu jitsu. we all wish the guys the best for there upcoming ventures and await more great films from undoubtedly  the most talented directors the UK has ever seen.

First off,

very big congratulations to the camillia hanson (EKBJJ) school in essex who took the team to the bristol open.

Ahmed Sharkatly lost his first fight on points.

Sanad Shagem 2 fights one win via armbar 1 loss on points.

both fought very tough fights.

Camillia Hanson  fought in the female blue belt open she had 3 fights 2 fights were won via armbar and one fight won on points, camilla walked away with the gold making her one of the uk,s top female competitors in the blue belt division  well done guys.

Also

Ko-Bloodline Fight Team fought at (war on the shore) in southampton.

First up was Ben Baah with some of the sharpest kicks of the night Ben won his fight after 3 rounds of fighting via judges decision.

up next was  the huge hungarian fighter, Atilla (Da killer ) who destroyed his opponent in the first round with knees to the body in the heavy weight division.

Final fighter from the team was costa (loco) Doru who took his opponent down and ground and pounded him into forcing a refs stoppage in the first round.
